写academic essay的时候，经常有人说不应该使用we or  i特别是在一些研究型的学术论文之中，更不应该使用人称代词，但这真的是对的吗?

首先这里直接说明，可以使用“Yes, It's OK!”在某些情况“I”还是很适合的。原因:

1、The active voice is livelier and easier to read.

2、It is a myth that avoiding first-person pronouns lends objectivity to the paper；

You (or your team) ran the experiments and interpreted the data. To imply otherwise is misleading...

首先你是做实验的，自然你需要承认存在主观性，所以使用"We" and "I"没有关系。

3、许多很出名的科学杂志也明确指出，作者可是使用主动语态。

For example，Science magazine advises: “Use active voice when suitable , particularly when necessary for correct syntax"

还有很多著名的作家也写过，比如:

Watson and Crick's celebrated 1953paper in Nature begins:“We wish to suggest a structure for the salt of deoxyribose nucleic acid( D.N.A.) .”

在摘要时、介绍时、以及说明你的结论，你的讨论，其实都很适合用。

总结来看，大部分不建议用，少量情况可以用，但也看是否合适。
